My two precious guys

Life is just SO good with these two guys in my life!!
I am sure you would agree. Isaiah LOVES his daddy. He always tries to act so serious, but as soon as Brandon starts talking to him-the smile just breaks out.
Its way too cute. :)
Isaiah is 4 months old already! (as of this past Saturday, the 16th!)
When they say the time flies...it really does. He is such a fun and easy baby. We are enjoying every moment with him!
Isaiah's favorite past time is to be naked...He gets so incredibly happy when we let him kick around with no clothes on. That's also when he rolled over, from his back to tummy, for the first time. While he had no clothes on. :)
I kind of want him to stay at this age forever...but then I also think of how much fun he will be as he gets older. Life is just too fun right now. :) So much to look forward to!

Everyone will have to wait in line to kiss those sweet cheeks of my baby. They are addicting. :) Soooo chubby.
And those eyes...and eye lashes. My goodness. Mmm. He is just wonderful.

Playing with froggy

Isaiah's favorite toy is a red and orange frog. I have no clue where we got it from-we could have stolen it from someone's house for all I know. But I do know that he loves it.
And the froggy likes playing with him too. :)

When you give it to him, he immediately shoves it into his mouth. Everything goes into his mouth these days.
Froggy really likes Isaiah's chubby cheeks. As does mommy.

Ooops...he is sliding down...
He wanted to come say hi to the camera.
But Isaiah had other plans in mind for Froggy. :)

First beach trip!! (post #4)

When we left from Toogoodoo Bluff on Sunday morning, we drove about 20 minutes to get to Edisto Beach, SC!
It wound up being a nice warm day (think upper 60's almost 70*!) but the wind made it a little cool on the beach. So sweatshirts and sweaters were worn. :)
It was quite beautiful down there and I just loved seeing the palm trees! They don't have those at the Outer Banks in NC!

Being at the beach definitely gave me beach fever...can't WAIT to go the first week of August this year!! :) Isaiah will be just about 9 months old when we go. So he might be able to appreciate it a little more. I can't wait to see what he does. :)

He seemed a little fascinated by the water, but I think it was just because we were outside and it was a new place. He just stared. Didn't really have any expression on his face.

We did actually get a family picture where I wasn't looking down...I just accidentally uploaded the wrong one and I am way too lazy to go back and find the correct one :)

Can't wait to go back with my little family in just a few months!!:)

On our way home from the beach we stopped into a Guitar Center in Charlotte, NC (where Brandon lived for a year once)...

I do believe Brandon had a good time in there. :)

Weddingness!! (Post #3)

The wedding was so beautiful and simple! Thank the Lord for wonderful weather as well! Just an overall perfect day for a wedding in SC!

Isaiah joined us girls early Saturday morning for getting ready. He was the center of attention for a little while til Bethany put on her dress :) We loved just hearing him chatter and watching him give everyone big smiles. He's a charmer for sure :)

I loved the Coke decorations... Everything tied in great with the colors of the bridal party! :)

I am so happy for Bethany!! Yay for the day finally coming that we had talked about late into the night soooo many nights growing up! God has been good and gave her a wonderful man that will stand beside her the rest of their lives together.

I hope you enjoyed the glimpse into their special day!! So privileged to have been apart of it :)

Trip post #2

Isaiah wound up being a little too cold to wear what I had bought for him all day long, but it was okay :) He stayed in the shirt for the whole day, just not the shorts.
It was really fun being able to get a nice family photo. And wouldn't you know it, this photo was taken by the bride herself! :) She just couldn't keep away from the camera all day long, she had to at least snap ONE photo---well...make that like 10, but still! We felt very honored :)
The weather was SO nice the day of, in the upper 60's, so wearing the bridesmaid dresses that she choose was nice! We weren't freezing all day.
Bethany told us to kiss. So we did. :) I never have photos or post photos of us kissing...but hey, it was a wedding. We can be romantic too :) Plus, I just love my guy. I like having photos of us...I always forget to take photos these days.  I am striving to get better at that though!!

Up next: Wedding photos!

By  the way-those flats I am wearing in the first photo? The most comfortable pair of shoes I own to date!

First big trip with the little man pt 1

Yep. We went on our first road trip with our little guy last weekend.  We left around 6-6:30 Thursday evening and arrived at the location, Toogoodoo Bluff, around 1:15 am. Isaiah slept the entire way except for a little ways near the very end.
Such a good little travel buddy. :)

We were in SC for the wedding of my dear friend Bethany to her Josh.  I was the matron of honor so we got down there Friday and stayed til Sunday. It was a GREAT mini vacation and we took the most of it!

This was the main house on the plantation's property. We stayed in a little log cabin with Zach, Amy and Asher. It was all so nice.
Friday morning, Isaiah and I went to explore downtown Charleston with Bethany and the other bridesmaids that were there.

Friday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and it was so lovely. Everyone that was there that night was at the wedding. A small and intimate occasion and so very laid back. It was wonderful!

I do believe that Isaiah's most favorite part of the trip was playing with Asher allll he wanted. I hope they grow up to be great friends and cousins! :)

I shall post more about the trip in another post. The next one will have photos of us at the wedding, then all the photos I took and then Isaiah's first beach trip :)
